Atlas, your AI co-facilitator

Atlas is your private AI co-facilitator, built into GroupMap. Whether you’re brainstorming, planning, prioritizing, problem-solving, or running a structured group activity, Atlas can help you save time, gain insight, and guide your team to better outcomes.

Atlas was previously called the AI Agent. It reads the ideas on your current map that you can see and answers your questions, but it can’t add, move or change anything on the map.

What Can Atlas Do?

Atlas is designed to assist across many types of GroupMap activities.

Here are example prompts you can use, based on some common use cases:

Brainstorming

• “Summarize the top ideas by theme.”
• “What are three creative ways to build on these ideas?”
• “Group similar items and suggest labels.”

Prioritization and Decision Making

• “Summarize the pros and cons from this list.”
• “Which ideas are most supported, based on votes?”
• “Suggest criteria for evaluating these options.”

Planning and Strategy

• “Turn these goals into actionable next steps.”
• “Suggest a roadmap based on these ideas.”
• “Cluster these ideas into strategic focus areas.”

Reflection and Learning

• “What are the common concerns raised here?”
• “What lessons can be drawn from this input?”
• “Turn these into key takeaways.”

Data-Driven Analysis

• “What are the top-voted ideas?”
• “Which themes appear across multiple columns?”
• “Give me a sentiment-based summary.”

Writing and Rewording

• “Rewrite these for clarity.”
• “Make this sound more formal/friendly/actionable.”
• “Simplify this into bullet points.”

How to Use Atlas

1. Open Atlas

   Open any GroupMap activity and click the magic stars button in the top header. On a narrow screen, or while another panel is open, choose Atlas from the map’s ⋮ menu instead (it was labelled AI Agent before the October 2026 update).

   
   

   

   Ask a Question or Give an Instruction

   Type your request in the box at the bottom of the panel, or pick a quick prompt: Get a summary, Suggest a prompt question, Suggest actions or Give me an overview. Use natural language. For example:

   • “Summarize what people are saying.”
   • “What insights can we take from this list?”

   • “Turn this into a 3-point summary.”

     
     

     Review the Suggestions

     Atlas’s answer appears in the panel, usually within a few seconds. You can:

   • Copy suggestions into the map yourself (Atlas can’t edit your map).
   • Ask follow-ups to refine the result.

   • Use the ideas to spark deeper discussion.

     
     

     Continue the Conversation

     Want it shorter? Clearer? More ideas? Just type a follow-up:

   • “Can you give me three more?”
   • “Make this more concise.”
   • “Turn this into a SMART goal.”

Giving Feedback

Help us make Atlas smarter and more useful for you:

• Use the 👍 or 👎 icons on any response.
• Add optional comments to explain why something was helpful (or not).
• Your feedback is anonymous and helps improve quality without storing your map data.

Atlas conversations

Your conversations with Atlas are saved with the map, and only you can see them. Use the menu at the top of the panel to go back to an earlier conversation, or choose New Conversation to start fresh. To remove a conversation, select it and click the delete button next to the menu.

Security and Privacy

Your trust matters to us. Atlas is powered by pre-trained AI models hosted by AWS Bedrock.

• Limited Scope: Atlas only accesses the content in your current map that you can see.
• No Training on Your Data: Your map content is not used to train the AI.
• Private by Default: Suggestions are visible only to you unless you share them.
• Secure Handling: All data is encrypted and complies with GroupMap’s Privacy Policy.
